Dr. Tracy Shevell, M.D.

Tracy Shevell graduated from Barnard College, earned her medical degree (Cum Laude) from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine followed by fellowship at Columbia University. Dr Shevell dedicated two decades to providing the complicated and exacting care required for cases of high-risk pregnancies while creating, implementing, and teaching others the challenging medical and psychological techniques required for handling these complexities. Nearly 10% of all pregnancies involve such complications that, if left untreated, may harm the mother, the baby, or both, all of which exert intense emotional stress on the family structure.

Balancing these demands, Dr Shevell became adept at interfacing with multiple medical subspecialists, skilled nursing practitioners, ancillary care experts, social workers, and administrators to maximize the benefit to the patient while minimizing the burden on the families.

Appreciating the importance, but realizing the lack of available such services, Dr Shevell established Blue Moon Perinatal in 2021 to provide support to women from prepregnancy through postpartum who are currently unable to have their needs met within the current medical system framework. It became quickly apparent that this gap extended beyond just the reproductive years, and was sorely needed for individuals at any age as well, including immediate and extended family units. Thus, Blue Moon for Life was created to be able to meet you wherever you are and provide cohesive, coordinated attention to not only your medical records and your lab values but to your personal, psychological and overall physical well being.
